Welcome to Memoir (hereinafter referred to as "the App"). Please read the following Terms of Service carefully before using this App. By downloading, installing, or using this App, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Service Overview

Memoir is an iOS journaling app that provides the following features:

• Text, photo, and audio journal recording
• Speech-to-text functionality
• Calendar view and full-text search
• Face ID / Touch ID privacy protection

The App offers both a free version and a Pro subscription version.

2. User Account

• No account registration required for basic features
• Journal data is stored locally on your device by default
• iCloud sync requires an Apple ID (Pro feature)

3.4 Subscription Terms

• Monthly subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
• After cancellation, you can continue using Pro features until the end of the current billing period
• Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited when purchasing a subscription

4. User Content

• You retain full ownership of your journal content
• We do not access, read, or share your journal content
• AI summary feature processes text through third-party APIs but does not store your content
• You are responsible for regularly backing up important data

5. Data Storage & Privacy

• Journal data is stored locally on your device by default
• iCloud sync data is stored in your personal iCloud account
• We do not store any of your journal content on our servers

6. Prohibited Conduct

Users shall not use this App for:

• Any purpose that violates laws or regulations
• Storing or distributing illegal content
• Attempting to crack, reverse engineer, or interfere with the App's normal operation

7. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" without any express or implied warranties. We are not responsible for:

• Data loss due to device loss or damage
• Data inconsistencies caused by iCloud sync failures
• Unavailability or errors of third-party services (such as AI summaries)
• Any indirect, incidental, or special damages

8. Service Changes & Termination

• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the service
• Users will be notified of subscription price changes before renewal
• Significant terms changes will be communicated via in-app notifications or email

• All intellectual property rights in Memoir and its content belong to the developer
• Journal content created by users belongs to the users

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes arising from these terms shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, both parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts where the developer is located.
